Strategic Goals & Objectives

The following is a brief summary of our strategic goals and objectives in the context of the Health Care Reform Programme and the structural changes that are taking place in relation to the organisation and provision of Acute Services Hospitals.

• Proceed with the Hospital's Development Plan, to include transfer of all in-patient accommodation to the new development.
• Continue to play an active role in the development and provision of Acute Hospital Services in the Region within the structural arrangements devised by the National Hospitals Office from time to time for the co-ordination of Acute Hospital Services.
• Review and enhance the strategic working relationships with the Health Service Executive, the National Hospitals Office and Network managerial arrangements.
• Ensure that the services developed within St. John's Hospital compliment existing and new service developments planned for the acute hospital services in the Region.
• Continue to focus on accreditation, quality improvement, risk management and infrastructural development.
